Navigating through the online article:

How can i make this journey on finding the Vegan Soft Serve Article online more user friendly?

Searching + Navigation: 
  • Link up the Sub-headings/categories on the printed version to the online material as this found it difficult to then find online.
  • Make the online material similar to the printed version e.g. make the headings the same, as the online materials heading/title was long. 
Browsing + Navigation:
  • Reduce the amount of Ads, this create the wayfinding online in the article very difficult to follow as its all separated and not together.
  • Possibly create a similar layout on paper online, as the article printed on paper was easy to read and easy to follow.

Rationale & Links

The main purpose of my website was to simplify the Stuff Website as I found it hard to browse through the existing website. I did this by designing negative space and not filling it with advertisements (as these can be very distracting. Especially when reading half way through an article). I applied rule lines to make navigating simplistic as possible and easy to navigate though heavy text and information, I also decided to stick with a similar grid throughout my website for the users to get into a repetitive rhythm when navigating  throughout the website.  I applied symbols to my website categories as this can make the user journey even more mindless and easy to navigate through. For my cell phone version i decided to put the  navigation bar down the bottom to make accessibility physically reachable, i also added the hamburger menu to the bottom nav bar which i believe makes the journey even more  convenient and user friendly.
